David Alonso won on Sunday (28) the Dutch GP, the tenth round of the 2026 Moto2 season, held at the Assen circuit. The Aspar rider fought one of the toughest battles for a victory of the year in the category with Manuel González and Senna Agius, managing to overtake in the final meters of the last of the 22 laps, triumphing by 0.024 seconds.

Second place went to González, championship leader and Intact GP rider who led much of the race, succumbing to Alonso’s attack in the final meters. Agius, with the other Intact GP bike, completed the podium by finishing two tenths behind the winner. Izan Guevara, with a Pramac bike, was fourth, followed by Ivan Ortolá, fifth with the MSI.
Daniel Holgado crossed the finish line in sixth place with an Aspar bike, followed by Alex Escrig, seventh with equipment prepared by KLINT. Adrian Huertas was eighth with Italtrans, while Alberto Ferrandez, from Pramac, finished ninth. Filip Salac, from the American Racing Team, closed the top 10.

The race featured the crash of Celestino Vietti, one of the contenders for the 2026 season title, still in the first half of the race. Other riders who crashed in Assen were Daniel Muñoz and Deniz Oncu. All left the competition before completing the 22 laps.
The next Moto2 round will be the German GP, scheduled for July 12 at the Sachsenring circuit.
