George Russell has not delivered as much as his teammate Kimi Antonelli in the Formula 1 season, and Toto Wolff highlighted that Mercedes needs to help the Briton unlock his maximum potential.
The Italian, only 20 years old, is not only the leader of the Drivers’ World Championship but has dominated the championship. He already has eight wins in 14 races and an 81-point lead over his teammate.

And although Mercedes apparently has found a new star in F1, the executive does not want to give up helping Russell rediscover his potential on the track.

“We need to find out what is necessary for him to be able to unleash his full potential and, of course, there is the psychological side,” he said.
“If you have a streak like his this year, you get hit a lot, but great drivers recover and I think George has everything he needs to fight for championships.”
