Kush Maini secured pole position this Friday (24) for the eighth round of the 2026 Formula 2 season. In qualifying held this morning at the Hungaroring circuit in Hungary, the ART Grand Prix driver recorded 1min28s896, taking the top spot for Sunday’s race.

Second position went to Rafael Câmara, the Brazilian from Invicta Racing who was just 0s117 slower than Maini’s time. Noel León, with a Campos Racing car, will start from third position, sharing the second row with Joshua Durksen, fourth with Invicta. Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, from ART Grand Prix, completes the top-5.

Laurens van Hoepen, with a Trident car, will start in sixth, while Nikola Tsolov, championship leader, starts in seventh with Campos Racing. Dino Beganovic, from DAMS, is eighth, while Gabriele Mini, with an MP Motorsport car, starts in ninth. Sebastian Montoya, from Prema, was tenth and starts at the front in the Sprint. Emmo Fittipaldi will start from 15th position in both races with AIX Racing.

The F2 schedule continues this Saturday (25), when the Sprint race will be held, starting at 9:15 AM. The main race is scheduled for Sunday, starting at 6:25 AM.
