Current MotoGP champion and Ducati rider, Marc Márquez is out of the French and Catalan GPs after the accident suffered in the Sprint held on the morning of this Saturday (9) valid for the French GP, in Le Mans. The Spaniard had a high side on his bike on the penultimate of the 13 laps of the race and fell violently. Although he walked to the pits, the rider was limping on one of his legs.

After examinations, it was found that the rider suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal of the right foot in this morning’s fall. According to Ducati, which announced the injury through social media, Márquez will be taken to Madrid, the Spanish capital, to undergo reconstructive surgery on the injury.

Thus, the rider, currently fifth in the championship, will not line up for the race this Sunday in Le Mans. Also according to Ducati, the multi-champion will need rest and will not race the Catalan GP, scheduled for next week at the Barcelona Circuit.
