Marco Bezzecchi won this Sunday (29) the United States GP, the third round of the 2026 MotoGP season. The Aprilia rider took the lead at the Circuit of the Americas, in Austin, on the very first lap, and stayed ahead throughout the 20 laps, triumphing for the third time this year and for the fifth consecutive race in the world’s most important motorcycling category.

Aprilia also saw Jorge Martín complete the team’s 1-2, finishing in second position. The podium also featured Pedro Acosta, third place with a KTM. Fabio Di Giannantonio crossed the finish line in fourth position with a VR46 Ducati, while Ducati’s Marc Márquez closed the top 5 of the classification.
Enea Bastianini, with a Tech3 KTM, completed the race in sixth place, followed by Álex Márquez, seventh with a Gresini Ducati. Raúl Fernández, with a Trackhouse Aprilia, was eighth, with Francesco Bagnaia, who lost performance at the end, in ninth with the Ducati. Honda’s Luca Marini completed the top ten group.
The only Brazilian on the MotoGP grid, Diogo Moreira scored points for the third time this year. The LCR Honda rider completed the race in 13th place at the end of the 20 race laps in the United States, repeating last week’s performance in Brazil.
MotoGP will continue on April 26, when the Spanish GP will be held, a race scheduled for the Jerez circuit.

The start had Pedro Acosta taking the lead in the opening meters, followed by Marco Bezzecchi, who moved into second, just ahead of Jorge Martín. Marc Márquez appeared in fourth, followed by Fabio Di Giannantonio. Diogo Moreira moved up to 13th at the start of the race. Still on the opening lap, Bezzecchi took first place by overtaking Acosta.
At the start of the second lap, Di Giannantonio left Márquez behind, taking fourth place. On the same lap, Johann Zarco went down, being responsible for the first crash of the race. On the third lap, it was Joan Mir’s turn to run off the track, but without hindering his opponents. Current champion, Márquez dropped to seventh position
Bezzecchi maintained the lead on the fourth lap, but could not open a gap over Acosta, who brought Martín with him. Further back, Márquez served the long lap and plummeted to 11th position. On the fifth lap, Martín tried to attack to take second place, but made a mistake, allowing Acosta to remain in that position. Moreira appeared in 13th place.

With six laps of the race, Mir fell from his Honda, while on the following lap, Martín almost crashed while trying to overtake Acosta. Thus, Bezzecchi opened a one-second lead in the race. In fifth, Francesco Bagnaia sought to close in on Di Giannantonio. A little further back, Márquez sought to recover ground, and appeared in ninth.
The race reached the halfway point with Bezzecchi starting to see Acosta approach, but the Aprilia Italian soon responded and brought the gap to 1.2 seconds. With 12 laps, Ai Ogura overtook Bagnaia and took fifth place in the race. The Trackhouse Japanese rider continued to advance and overtook Di Giannantonio to take fourth place.
On the 14th lap of the contest, Martín finally overtook Acosta, taking second position. Further back, Moreira appeared in 14th place, still in the points zone. Advancing was Enea Bastianini, who took seventh place in the contest. Ogura, for his part, saw the Trackhouse Aprilia present problems and plummeted in the classification.
Marc Márquez, in sixth, began to attack Bagnaia, his teammate, bringing Bastianini with him. The Tech3 Italian, in turn, took the opportunity to strike and take sixth place, but was eventually overtaken by the current champion two laps later. Up front, Bezzecchi remained in the lead, without being threatened by Martín.
Márquez continued to advance and passed Bagnaia, who was also overtaken at the same time by Bastianini, dropping to seventh. The owner of the number 63 Ducati continued to drop and was eventually overtaken by Álex Márquez on the penultimate lap, and by Raúl Fernández shortly after.
Up front, Bezzecchi went on to win, with Martín and Acosta completing the top 3.
