Senna Agius won this Sunday (29) the United States GP, the third round of the 2026 Moto2 season. In a race marked by a heavy crash at the start at the Circuit of the Americas, in Austin, the Intact GP rider withstood pressure from his opponents to come away with the victory in the capital of the American state of Texas.

The race had a red flag on the opening lap after Alberto Fernández lost control of the bike at turn 10 of the Austin circuit, causing a “strike”. Sergio García, David Alonso, Daniel Muñoz, Collin Veijer, Filip Salac and Ángel Piqueras were involved in the accident, which caused the race to be stopped immediately.
After the restart, Agius took the lead on the third of the ten remaining laps and engaged in a good battle with Celestino Vietti, who even took the lead, which was lost on the penultimate lap to the Intact GP rider, who went on to win. Vietti, from SpeedRS, was second, with Izán Guevara, from Pramac, in third. David Alonso, from Aspar, and Manuel González, from Intact GP, rounded out the top-5.

Barry Baltus, from Fantic Racing, crossed the finish line in sixth position, with Alonso López, from Gresini, in seventh. Alex Escrig, with a KLINT bike, completed the race in eighth, with Joe Roberts, from the American Racing Team, finishing the contest in ninth. Tony Arbolino, with Fantic Racing, completed the top ten list.
Moto2 will continue on April 26, when the Spanish GP will be held, a race scheduled for the Jerez circuit.
