David Almansa was the fastest rider on Friday (28) during free practice for the Aragón GP, the 13th round of the Moto3 championship. In the last of the two sessions held at MotorLand, a circuit located in Spain, the Intact GP rider recorded his best lap time of 1min57s473, not being surpassed by his rivals.

The second position went to Rico Salmela, a Tech3 rider who was 0.079 seconds slower than Almansa. Valentín Perrone, Salmela’s teammate, was the third best, followed by Adrián Fernández, fourth with Leopard Racing. The top five was completed by Álvaro Carpe, riding a bike prepared by Ajo.
Connor O’Gorman, a rider for SIC58, was the sixth fastest, finishing ahead of Jesús Ríos, seventh with Snipers. Returning to the grid after not racing in England, Máximo Quiles was eighth with Aspar, while Matteo Bertelle, from MTA, was ninth. Guido Pini, with the other Leopard Racing bike, completed the top 10.

Besides the top ten, four other riders qualified directly for the decisive qualifying round scheduled for Saturday morning at MotorLand. Marco Morelli, from Aspar, Adrián Cruces, from CIP, Joel Kelso, from GRYD, and Hakim Danish, from MSI, complete the list of riders advancing to Q2.
The last free practice of the weekend takes place from 3:40 AM this Saturday, while qualifying will be held at 7:45 AM. The Moto3 Aragón GP is scheduled for 6 AM on Sunday.
