Lando Norris will continue at McLaren for several more good years in Formula 1. This Saturday (29), the team announced the renewal of the Briton’s contract until the 2030 season, with the partnership lasting more than a decade in the field.

The announcement comes just a few days after the confirmation that Max Verstappen not only continues with Red Bull on the grid but also extended his contract until 2030, ending the saga of a possible departure or retirement.
“McLaren is my home, and I am very happy to sign a new contract that will keep me with the team at least until 2030. When I started this journey nine years ago, I was clear about the goals I wanted to achieve: to bring McLaren back to the top and win championships,” Norris said.

“We have achieved that goal, but we want more; we want to keep winning and we know, as a team, that we are capable of achieving that. I can’t wait to get back in the car at Monza and I am very excited about what the future holds for us, both for the rest of this season and the coming years,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Andrea Stella, McLaren’s boss, pointed out that “Lando has been a key part of McLaren’s journey and success over the past nine years, and we are very happy to continue our partnership with him at least until 2030. He is an exceptional driver, someone who combines extraordinary natural speed with maturity, consistency, and a strong commitment to McLaren; but above all, he is a special human being, valued by everyone on the team.”
