Daniel Holgado conquered the pole position this Sunday (21) for the Brazil GP, the second stage of the 2026 Moto2 season. In the final phase of the qualifying held this morning at the Ayrton Senna International Racetrack, in Goiânia (GO), the Aspar rider recorded 1min20s711 in his best lap, securing the position of honor for the fifth time in this class.

Aspar also saw David Alonso take the second best time, being beaten by only 0s017 by Holgado. The first row will also feature Alex Escrig, a KLINT rider. Manuel González, with an Intact GP bike, starts in fourth, followed by Ángel Piqueras, from MSI, and Collin Veijer, who closes the second row with an Ajo bike.
Alonso López, with a Gresini bike, will start in seventh, right ahead of Celestino Vietti, eighth with SpeedRS, while Mario Aji completes the third row with Team Asia. Tony Arbolino, from Fantic Racing, Daniel Muñoz, from Italtrans, and Iván Ortolá, from MSI, complete the list of the 12 best on the Moto2 grid in Goiânia.

The qualifying had some incidents. At the beginning of Q1, Sergio García went off track, but avoided the crash. In the final minute of the initial phase, José Antonio Rueda had problems with his bike and left the qualifying.
The Moto2 Brazil GP will be held later this Sunday (21), with the start at 1:15 PM.
