Marco Bezzecchi was the one who reached the highest step of the podium at the MotoGP Brazilian GP in Goiânia. On a sunny and very hot afternoon this Sunday (22), the driver jumped to the front at the start and from there did not leave, crossing the finish line in first place.

Fabio Di Giannantonio was the one who started from pole position, but failed to maintain the front of the field and had to settle for third place, with Jorge Martín receiving the checkered flag in second.
Diogo Moreira had to prove his recovery skills. Starting in 14th, he dropped to 19th at the start and climbed through the field, crossing the finish line in 13th, within the points zone.
The third stage of the 2026 MotoGP season takes place next week, between March 27-29 with the United States GP at the Circuit of the Americas.

The heat was a key factor for this race in Brazil. With the thermometer reading 30ºC and the asphalt reaching 52ºC, the race had to be shortened by eight laps, falling to 23 due to track degradation.
Start authorized and Bezzecchi jumped to the first position of the field. Meanwhile, Di Giannantonio was in second place with Marc Márquez holding third.
The Brazilian Moreira did not have a good start. Lining up in 14th in the field, the LCR Honda competitor ended up dropping to 19th, needing to invest in a recovery drive in front of the home crowd in Goiânia.
At the opening of the third lap, Bezzecchi maintained the third position, 0s669 ahead of the rest of the field. Meanwhile, Marc managed to move forward to take second place, with Diggia, Pedro Acosta and Jorge Martín completing the top five positions at Ayrton Senna Autodrome.
With four laps completed, two names were already out of contention: Jack Miller with problems and Brad Binder, who suffered a crash in the early laps. Better for Diogo, who moved up to 17th place.
Five laps completed and Bezzecchi was showing off in front of the Brazilian crowd already with more than 2s2 of breathing room over the rest of the field. Meanwhile, Martín was extremely fast with his Aprilia and made a double overtake, taking second place, being the fastest on the track.

With eight laps completed of the MotoGP Brazilian GP, Marco held first place, with Martín, Diggia, Marc Márquez, Acosta, Álex Márquez, Joan Mir, Ai Ogura, Johann Zarco and Fermín Aldeguer completing the top-10.
Who was having a very complicated race was Fabio Quartararo. After starting from the second row of the field, the Yamaha Frenchman was already 16th, outside the points zone – the decisive overtake was by Moreira, who placed himself inside the top-15.
On lap 11, then, a crash in the field. Francesco Bagnaia was chasing Johann Zarco, but ended up going down; just a few meters ahead, Joan Mir also crashed – in this, Diogo Moreira gained two more positions and was 13th.
With nine laps to go until the checkered flag, Acosta and Álex Márquez were in an exciting battle for fifth place. The thing is that Pedro was on a soft rear tire, which could be costly, especially in this heat.
With the race entering the final stretch at the Goiânia circuit, Bezzecchi was heading for victory, with Martín and Di Giannantonio completing the MotoGP podium. Moreira, further back, was 13th.
With five laps to go, Marc Márquez put on one of his shows. In a fight with Diggia, the Ducati rider put it side by side, chose the right moment and passed his opponent, taking the lowest step of the podium for himself.
Two laps later, then, Fabio got his revenge on Marc, left the seven-time MotoGP champion behind and returned to third place, but the Spaniard glued to the back of the Italian.
Checkered flag and no one approached Bezzecchi, who secured the victory of the MotoGP Brazilian GP. Martín and Di Giannantonio completed the podium of this second stage of the 2026 season.
