Senna Agius was the fastest rider on Friday (11) during free practice for the San Marino GP, the 14th round of the Moto2 championship. In the last of the two sessions held at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, in Italy, the Intact GP rider recorded his best lap time of 1min34s142, not being surpassed by his rivals.

Championship leader Manuel González was second, 0.120 seconds behind Agius, his teammate. David Alonso, riding an Aspar bike, finished Friday with the third-best time, ahead of Collin Veijer, fourth with a bike prepared by Ajo. Daniel Holgado, from Aspar, was the fifth fastest.
Tony Arbolino completed the day in sixth position with a Fantic Racing bike, the team that saw Barry Baltus take seventh place. Izán Guevara, from Pramac, was the eighth fastest, while Alonso López, from Gresini, finished ninth. The top ten group also included Filip Salac, riding a bike from the American Racing Team.

The last of the two sessions of the day, where the fastest times were recorded, also defined the other four riders who advance directly to Q2 in qualifying at Misano. In addition to the ten mentioned, the list includes Celestino Vietti, from SpeedRS, Ángel Piqueras, from MSI, Iván Ortolá, also from MSI, and Alberto Ferrandez, from Pramac.
The Moto2 schedule in Misano continues on Saturday. From 4:25 AM the last free practice of the weekend takes place, while qualifying is scheduled for 8:40 AM. The San Marino GP starts from 7:15 AM on Sunday.
