Marco Bezzecchi conquered pole position this Saturday (12) for the San Marino GP, the 14th round of the 2026 MotoGP season. In the final phase of qualifying held at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, in Italy, the Aprilia rider recorded 1min29s982 on his best lap, breaking the track record and securing the honor position for both the Sprint and the main race.

The second position ended up in the hands of Marc Márquez, Ducati rider who was beaten by 0.198 seconds. Fermín Aldeguer, who passed through Q1 with the Gresini Ducati, completes the front row of the starting grid. Fabio Di Giannantonio, with another Ducati, this one from VR46, starts fourth, followed by championship leader Jorge Martín, fifth with Aprilia. The top 6 also included Luca Marini, from Honda.
Pedro Acosta placed the KTM in seventh position on the starting grid, opening a third row that also includes Franco Morbidelli, with a VR46 Ducati, and Álex Márquez, also with a Ducati, but from Gresini. Raúl Fernández, with an Aprilia from Trackhouse, starts tenth, while Johann Zarco, from LCR Honda, was 11th. Pol Espargaró, with a KTM from Tech3, closes the list of the top 12.
The disappointment of qualifying was Francesco Bagnaia, who fell in Q1 without ever placing among the top two during the 15 minutes of the first round of grid definition. The Ducati rider will start from 14th position. Diogo Moreira, with an LCR Honda, starts one place behind, in 15th, both in the Sprint and in the main race. Álex Marquez fell again with the timer at zero.

The session that defined the starting positions featured crashes in Misano. At the beginning of Q2, Álex Márquez fell with the Ducati prepared by Gresini. With less than two minutes remaining for the end of the session, it was Fabio Di Giannantonio’s turn to fall at turn 4 with the VR46 team Ducati, leaving qualifying.
From 10 a.m., the weekend Sprint will be held in Misano. The MotoGP San Marino GP is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. this Sunday (13).
