F3: Ugochukwu ends Jerez tests with the fastest time

Ugo Ugochukwu was the fastest driver on the final day of Formula 3 collective testing, held at the Jerez-Ángel Nieto circuit in Spain. In the first session this Wednesday (8), the Campos Racing driver, who competed in this year’s season of the category, recorded 1m30.012s on his best lap.

Second place went to Ernesto Rivera, who with another Campos car finished 0.197s behind Ugochukwu. Freddie Slater, with a Trident car, ended the day with the third fastest time, followed by Christian Ho, fourth fastest aboard a Rodin car. Noah Stromsted, from Trident, rounded out the top 5.

Fastest on Tuesday, Alessandro Giusti completed the session with the sixth fastest time with MP Motorsport, followed by James Wharton, seventh with Prema. Taito Kato, with ART Grand Prix equipment, set the eighth fastest time, with Brando Badoer, from Rodin, in ninth. Brad Benavides, from AIX Racing, completed the top ten list.

The session once again featured two Brazilians. Pedro Clerot improved his time by nine tenths, and completed Wednesday in 14th place with a car prepared by Rodin. Fernando Barrichello also showed evolution in his lap times, and finished the day in 29th place with an AIX Racing car.

Formula 3 post-season testing will continue on October 15 and 16, this time at the Barcelona Circuit.
