Nikola Tsolov won on the morning of this Saturday (4) the Sprint valid for the seventh stage of the 2026 Formula 2 season, held at the Silverstone circuit in England. The Campos Racing driver fought a tough battle with Gabriele Mini in the final laps of the race, managing the overtaking that earned him the victory on the last of the 21 laps to triumph for the fifth time this year.

Mini, with an MP Motorsport car, took second place, after still needing to defend against attacks from Rafael Villagómez, who completed the podium in third place with a Van Amersfoort car. Kush Maini, from ART Grand Prix, was fourth, followed by teammate Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, who closed the top-5.
Dino Beganovic, with a DAMS car, crossed the finish line in sixth position, while Roman Bilinski, also from DAMS, was seventh. The points zone was completed by Joshua Durksen, eighth with Invicta Racing. Alexander Dunne, from Rodin Motorsport, closed the race in ninth, while Rafael Câmara, from Invicta, closed the top-10. Emmo Fittipaldi was 18th with AIX.

The race featured a Safety Car deployment right on the second lap, after John Bennett and Sebastian Montoya. The Trident driver spun after being forced onto the grass by Colton Herta, while the Prema Colombian, who was following the reference of the Sprint winner in Austria, also went off track. Both retired.
The main Formula 2 race will be held this Sunday (5), starting from 7:15 AM.
