The Maranello team will bring several changes for this weekend’s race, despite the main focus being on McLaren’s new parts.
Assessing how the field might be in this fourth round of the 2026 season, Jolyon Palmer indicated that Ferrari will be “at least third [fastest]. The gap to Ferrari is simply too big right now, and I think the question is: how good is McLaren’s update package compared to Ferrari’s? Because they are basically in an update battle heading into Miami.”

However, Hinchcliffe believes the Italian team can surprise with its new package for Miami. “And remember, Ferrari has been the team with some of the most interesting innovations so far, from pre-season to the first races,” he pointed out.
“Perhaps we are all underestimating the team, which could present the most significant and impressive updates, because they have shown this tendency throughout the year, haven’t they?” he added.
