The expectation is a performance leap from the Italian team, which could put the Briton back in contention for victories. Adaptation to the current car also appears as an important factor for this possible reaction.
According to former F1 driver and current commentator, Martin Brundle, Hamilton’s moment is different under the new regulations: “Lewis clearly likes these cars much more. Ferrari is more competitive and should take another step forward in Miami,” he stated. He highlighted that the seven-time champion’s driving style fits better with the current characteristics, unlike what happened in previous seasons.

Despite the optimism, the internal challenge remains a key point. Hamilton still needs to overcome his teammate Charles Leclerc to advance in the fight for bigger results. Brundle reinforced that this will be essential for any broader ambition in the current season.
Nevertheless, confidence in the Briton’s potential remains: “If there’s a chance of victory, Lewis is still fully capable of taking it,” he added. Currently, Hamilton has 41 points in the championship and has already achieved a podium with Ferrari, in addition to a top-three finish in a Sprint race, signs that the evolution may indeed be underway.
