The break without races was used for intense preparation, both at the factory and in the simulator. With planned updates and competitors also evolving, on-track performance will be decisive right from FP1.
Pierre Gasly highlighted the period as positive for recovering energy and strengthening work with the team: “I’m excited to get back to racing. It was good to have some time away from traveling, but now the focus is to pick up where we left off and fight for Q3 and then for points,” he stated. The Frenchman also emphasized the importance of making the most of the single free practice session before the intense sequence of sessions.

Franco Colapinto arrives motivated after recent activities with the team and off-track experiences. The Argentine highlighted work in the simulator and a special event in his country, but emphasized that the priority now is the track: “I’ve never raced in Miami, so FP1 will be very important to learn the circuit before Sprint qualifying,” he said.
The team’s sporting director, Steve Nielsen, stated that despite the unusual break, the period involved a lot of work behind the scenes: “We had a competitive start, with points in all races, and that remains the goal. We need to be ready from the start, especially on a Sprint race weekend,” Nielsen concluded.
