The result is special for the son of two-time Formula 1 world champion Emerson Fittipaldi, as he moved directly from Eurocup3 to Formula 2. Emmo highlighted that he had fun throughout the 28 laps of the race on the Canadian circuit and hopes to maintain the performance in the main race and also in the Monaco round in two weeks.
“It was a very good race. I had a lot of fun. I started from ninth position and finished fifth. It’s just the beginning, it was only the third race. Now we will improve and keep this pace to see what will happen in tomorrow’s race and also in the Monaco round,” said Emmo Fittipaldi in an interview with Sportv, right after the race ended.
