In the session in Montreal, the Audi driver managed to pass to Q2 without major problems. However, in the second phase of qualifying, he set a time of 1min14s081, failing to advance to the top 10.
Evaluating the performance at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit, the driver of car #5 spoke about the difficulty with the car’s balance and expects a lot of work during the night. “What you hear on the radio is mostly my communication with the engineer trying to fix the car during qualifying,” he told Guilherme Pereira from SporTV.

“I honestly don’t know the reason why qualifying changed so much today. Yesterday I was quite comfortable in SQ, and today, quite a bit of difficulty, to be honest, with the car’s balance. It wasn’t a horrible lap, but far from a good lap to put us up front. There’s not much to say, it’s work for tomorrow,” he continued.
“We are in a position that is more or less where we have to be, between 10th and 13th. I think our pace, behind that I would say is negative, and we’ll see, but there’s a lot of work to be done tonight,” he concluded.
