W2 Pro GP ended Friday (24) of practice for the TCR South America Super Challenge Interlagos with confidence after the duo Raphael Reis and Felipe Fraga led the top of the time sheet, a result repeated this Saturday morning during the last free practice session of the stage at the Interlagos Racetrack.

The duo was pleased with the results. Reis highlighted the performance and attention to tire wear, which should be a key factor for victory in Sunday’s long-distance race: “It was a very productive day, we managed to extract performance from the car. Tire management will be a factor here and we are attentive to that, as we already lost the Cascavel race at the end while leading due to a tire puncture. Interlagos is a track where both I and Fraga have had good results. I won this race two years ago and I am very motivated to seek the trophy again in São Paulo. We started the stage well and will give our best to finish the same way.”

Current Stock Car champion, Fraga spoke about adapting to TCR’s front-wheel drive cars. The duo uses a Cupra Leon VZ. “The Cupra is very cool. It’s different from anything I’ve ever done, I had never driven a front-wheel drive car on the track. It changes the way you drive, it gives the impression that you’re going to destroy the front tire when you step on it, because it has a lot of power. But it’s good to steer, fun to drive, to shift gears. Now I have to look at the data, learn from Raphinha (Reis) to improve. We are already in the fight and that made me happy, but I have a lot to learn and I have people who understand.”
