David Almansa conquered pole position for the San Marino GP, the 14th round of the 2026 Moto3 season. In the final phase of qualifying held this Saturday (12) at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, in Italy, the Intact GP rider recorded his best lap time of 1min40s612, securing the top spot for Sunday’s race.

The second position on the starting grid went to Brian Uriarte, an Ajo rider who was 0.217 seconds slower than Almansa. The front row will also feature Joel Kelso, third with GRYD Racing. Valentín Perrone, from Tech3, starts from fourth position, while Máximo Quiles, the championship leader, starts fifth with Aspar. Matteo Bertelle, from MTA, completes the group of the top six on the grid.

Connor O’Gorman, from SIC58, starts from seventh position this Sunday, while Rico Salmela, from Tech3, took eighth place. Álvaro Carpe begins the race in ninth with an Ajo bike, while Scott Ogden opens the fourth row by qualifying tenth with CIP. Adrián Fernández, from Leopard Racing, and Riusey Yamanaka, from MSI, close the list of the top 12.
