Senna Agius secured pole position this Saturday (12) for the San Marino GP, the 14th round of the 2026 Moto2 season. In the final qualifying session held this morning at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, in Italy, the Intact GP rider, who had already been the fastest in Friday’s practice, recorded 1min33s718, taking the top spot.

The second position on the grid went to Daniel Holgado, an Aspar rider who finished 0.193 seconds behind Agius’s time. The front row will also include Ángel Piqueras, the third fastest with an MSI bike. David Muñoz, from Italtrans, starts fourth, followed by Manuel González, championship leader and Intact GP rider, and Collin Veijer, sixth with Ajo.

Tony Arbolino took seventh position with a Fantic Racing bike, opening a third row that will also include Barry Baltus, his teammate, and Filip Salac, from the American Racing Team. Alonso López, from Gresini, starts tenth, followed by Iván Ortolá, 11th with MSI. Joe Roberts, with an American Racing Team bike, completes the top 12.

Izán Guevara, who recorded the eighth best qualifying time, was penalized six positions for riding too slowly on the track for the second time this season, and will start from 14th position. Alberto Ferrandez and David Alonso had an accident and did not complete laps in Q2.
