It was a three-month wait until Formula 2, the main feeder series for Formula 1, returned to the tracks. The category holds the first of 14 double-headers of the 2026 season this weekend, when it visits the Albert Park circuit in the Australian city of Melbourne, with the hope of maintaining Brazilian titles on the path to F1.

In this year’s season, there will be two representatives from the country on the F2 grid: at Invicta, Rafael Câmara makes his debut in the category after being the Formula 3 champion in 2025. Meanwhile, at AIX Racing, Emmo Fittipaldi will have his first year in the category after competing in FRECA in 2025.
Due to the large time difference between Brazil and Australia, the F2 schedule will open this Thursday, when the only free practice of the weekend will be held. The qualifying that will determine the starting positions for both races is scheduled for 0h55 on Friday. Both races will be held on Saturday, with the Sprint at 0h10 and the main race at 21h25.
