One of the main feeder categories for drivers seeking to reach Formula 1 in the future, Formula 3 begins the 2026 season this weekend. The championship holds the first of its ten rounds at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne, Australia.

The 30-driver grid will have two Brazilian representatives: at Rodin Motorsport, Pedro Clerot makes his debut season after spending the last two years in FRECA. Meanwhile, at AIX Racing, Fernando Barrichello, Fefo, competes in his first full season after debuting in F3 in the final rounds of 2025.
The schedule, due to the time difference between Brazil and Australia, will open this Thursday, a day that will feature the only free practice of the weekend. On Friday, starting at midnight, qualifying takes place, while the Sprint starts at 21h15. The main race is scheduled for 18h50 on Saturday.

Fans who want to follow the F3 activities will necessarily have to subscribe to F1TV. This is because the Globo Group, which will broadcast F1 and F2, did not acquire the rights for the category. It will be the first time in five years that the category will be off TV.
