Next weekend will be different for the Massa family. Used to always being together at races, they will separate for the first time. While father Felipe will accelerate in Cascavel, son Pipo will be in action at Velocitta in the Porsche Carrera Cup. The Zilmar Beux racetrack, in the city in western Paraná, is 938 km away from the Mogi Guaçu (SP) track.
“Raffa will certainly prefer to go with Pipo rather than with me, but not this time. Even Dudu will leave his newborn son to accompany Pipo. Logically, I will be focused on my work, but when I have some free time, I will follow what Pipo will be doing and cheering a lot”, said Felipe.
And how is the heart of the mother and wife at this moment?
“It’s difficult. It’s been years accompanying Felipe in practically all races. Of course he will receive all my prayers and my energy as always, only this time from a distance. With the father working, there’s no way the mother won’t be present by her son’s side, who is starting his career. All parents who have athlete children know how it works. At least one of the two will always be together”, affirmed Raffa Massa.
“My father is always with me on the phone, he taught me a lot since my first tests and in these my first two stages (one of Porsche and another of GT Winter Series), but we knew that this time would come, we had already been talking about it. I will try to put into practice everything he taught me and I will cheer for him from afar, as I know he will cheer for me too”, said Pipo.
