After mastering Saturday and finishing fourth on Sunday in the season opener at Interlagos, Marçal Muller arrives this weekend at Velocitta for the second stage of the Porsche Cup championship with the #544 car from the Farben team.

Leading the championship, the gaucho driver gave a masterclass in São Paulo, arriving for Sunday’s race with nine of the 10 Boosts available from qualifying practice.
This allowed him to advance throughout the race and surprise some competitors, especially due to the fact that he used the additional power mechanism only once in qualifying, in Q2, to secure pole position.
Now at the tight circuit in the interior of São Paulo, recording a lap among the top ten in the first phase of qualifying practice without using Boost will be an additional challenge, since the representative of Porsche Cup’s official automotive paint brand carries the maximum success ballast provided for in the regulations for the stage: 40 kg. It is a considerable load, especially on a track with elevation changes and tight corners like the one in Mogi Guaçu, where cars need traction to accelerate after the turns.

The stage schedule calls for optional practice on Thursday and another on Friday, when free practice 1 also takes place. On Saturday the track opens with qualifying in the morning, with race 1 starting at 13:50. Sunday’s race will have a grid inversion, with the start scheduled for 13:20.
The races are broadcast live on Band and Bandsports, as well as on the official digital channels of the Porsche Cup.

“The expectations are the best. Our opening stage was very positive, achieving pole position, first place in race 1 and fourth place in the second race, which leaves us as championship leaders. Now it’s about focusing on this consistency, coming from such a solid weekend as this one. Even though we have ballast, we have to fight for more poles and victories, keeping the focus on the championship which is our main objective”
