Jorge Martín won the Sprint of the British GP this Saturday (8), the 12th round of the 2026 MotoGP season. The Aprilia rider, who started from pole position, maintained the lead throughout the ten laps contested at the Silverstone circuit, increasing his advantage over rivals each lap to take the victory this afternoon.

The second position went to Ai Ogura, Aprilia rider from Trackhouse who could not keep up with Martín’s pace during the race. Marco Bezzecchi, with the other official Aprilia, completed the podium in third place, followed by Álex Márquez, fourth with the Gresini Ducati, while Fabio Di Giannantonio, with the VR46 Ducati, was fifth.
Pedro Acosta, with KTM, finished the race in sixth, just ahead of Joan Mir, seventh with Honda. Franco Morbidelli, with the other VR46 Ducati, finished eighth, while Marc Márquez, with Ducati, closed the points zone in ninth place. Diogo Moreira, with an LCR Honda, completed the top 10 of the race.
The British GP will be held this Sunday (9), with the start scheduled for 9 a.m.

The race at Silverstone started with Jorge Martín maintaining first position, followed by Ai Ogura, who moved up to second place, followed by Fabio Di Giannantonio. Marco Bezzecchi was in fourth, pressured by Marc Márquez. Diogo Moreira dropped to 15th position, while Cal Crutchlow crashed but returned to the race.
Still on the first lap, Márquez took fourth position from Bezzecchi, while Iker Lecuona crashed with the Gresini Ducati in the final sector of the track, after a battle with Franco Morbidelli. Moreira, further back, advanced to 12th position. At the front pack, Di Giannantonio started to pressure Ogura, who was a bit further from Martín, the leader.

On the fourth lap, Raúl Fernández crashed at turn 4 of the circuit, returning to the race shortly after. Crutchlow, in turn, returned to the pits. Up front, Martín opened seven tenths over Ogura, who was carrying Di Giannantonio with him. A little further back, Álex Márquez launched an attack on Bezzecchi, in a battle for fifth place. Moreira, meanwhile, advanced to 11th place.
Pressed by Álex Márquez, Bezzecchi went after Marc Márquez, taking fourth place on the fifth lap of the race. Shortly after, it was the Gresini rider’s turn to attack the official Ducati team’s brother, achieving fifth place at the start of the sixth lap. Moreira overtook Quartararo and moved up to tenth place.
With a strong pace, Bezzecchi closed in on Di Giannantonio to fight for third place, succeeding in the maneuver on the seventh lap. Without pace, the VR46 Italian soon saw Álex Márquez approach. Martín, meanwhile, once again opened a gap over Ogura with three laps remaining in the race. A little further back, Pedro Acosta passed Marc Márquez, taking sixth place.
With two laps to go, Álex Márquez passed Di Giannantonio, taking fourth place, while Marc Márquez was overtaken by Joan Mir, dropping to eighth place. Up front, Martín went on to win, followed by Ogura and Bezzecchi. Moreira was tenth.
