Marc Márquez won this Saturday (6) the Hungarian GP Sprint, the eighth round of the 2026 MotoGP season, held at the Balaton Park circuit. The Ducati Spaniard started from pole position and was absolute throughout the 13 laps of the race, securing first place after not being threatened by his opponents.
Second position went to Pedro Acosta, the KTM rider who finished just over a second behind Márquez. Marco Bezzecchi, championship leader and Aprilia rider, was third, followed by Raúl Fernández, fourth with Trackhouse’s Aprilia. The group of the top five also included Fermín Aldeguer, with a Gresini Ducati, after making two mistakes.
Jorge Martín, from Aprilia, closed the dispute in sixth place. Brazilian Diogo Moreira had his best performance in Sprints and finished seventh with an LCR Honda, finishing ahead of Enea Bastianini, eighth with a Tech3 KTM. Francesco Bagnaia closed the points zone with ninth place aboard a Ducati. Fabio Di Giannantonio, with a VR46 Ducati, was tenth.

The race started with Marc Márquez maintaining first position at the start, followed by Pedro Acosta and Marco Bezzecchi. Fermín Aldeguer appeared in fourth, with Raúl Fernández in fifth. Diogo Moreira appeared in sixth after starting in 11th. Fabio Di Giannantonio dropped six positions and fell to tenth place.

Aldeguer began to pressure Bezzecchi for third position, while Jorge Martín started his attack on Moreira. In front, Márquez had a one-second lead over Acosta at the end of the second lap. On the fourth lap, the Gresini Spaniard saved himself from a fall, but dropped to fifth place in the race.
Márquez maintained a comfortable lead, having a two-second advantage over Acosta, who couldn’t keep the same pace, but also had a one-second lead over Bezzecchi. Martín, in turn, passed Moreira, taking sixth place. The Brazilian, however, remained close to the Aprilia Spaniard, trying to get back into the top-5.
Aldeguer continued to show good speed and began to pressure Fernández for fourth place on the seventh lap of the race. Márquez, in front, maintained the gap to Acosta at around two seconds. Moreira remained close to Martín, but without being able to attack for an overtake.
The race continued to the end and Márquez won comfortably after 13 laps, finishing 1.5 seconds ahead of Acosta, who was second. The top-3 also included Bezzecchi, while Moreira crossed the finish line in seventh.
