Spanish rider Marc Márquez won this Sunday (12) the German Grand Prix, the 11th round of the 2026 MotoGP season, held at the Sachsenring circuit. The Ducati rider and current world champion started from pole position and led all 30 laps of the race to triumph for the third time this year.

Second place went to Ai Ogura, Aprilia rider from Trackhouse who fought a good duel with Raúl Fernandez, his teammate who finished the race in third, completing the podium. Pedro Acosta, with a KTM, finished the race in fourth, while Jorge Martín, from Aprilia, completed the top five.
Francesco Bagnaia, with a Ducati, finished sixth after pressuring Martín in the final laps. Fabio Quartararo, with Yamaha, was seventh, with Luca Marini, from Honda, in eighth. Enea Bastianini, with a Tech3 KTM, was ninth, while Brad Binder, from KTM, closed the top 10. Diogo Moreira, with an LCR Honda, finished the race in 11th.
The MotoGP goes on break and returns on August 9 with the English GP, a race scheduled for the Silverstone circuit.

The race started with Marc Márquez maintaining the lead in the initial meters, followed by Álex Márquez and Ai Ogura. Raúl Fernández advanced to fourth place, followed by Fabio Di Giannantonio, who dropped to fifth. Diogo Moreira held 17th position at the end of the first lap at Sachsenring.
At the end of the first lap, Fernández passed Ogura to regain third place, while Jorge Martín was sixth, close to Di Giannantonio. In the back group, Moreira entered the points zone by advancing to 15th position, moving up another place by leaving Franco Morbidelli behind on the third lap of the race.
Pedro Acosta, in seventh, launched an attack on Martín, managing to overtake him on the fourth lap. In the same lap, Di Giannantonio attacked Ogura when he crashed at turn 10, abandoning the race. In the middle of the pack, Joan Mir began to pressure Luca Marini in an internal Honda battle for tenth place on the sixth lap.

Márquez maintained the race lead on the seventh lap, always closely followed by Álex Márquez. Joan Mir, in 11th, crashed with the Honda on the last corner of the circuit, leaving the race. At the end of the ninth lap, it was Álex Márquez’s turn to crash at turn 13, becoming another retiree, which gave Márquez a 1.3-second advantage over Fernández, the second-placed rider.
Moreira began to duel with Brad Binder for tenth place in the 11th lap of the race. Ogura, in third and trying to close in on Fernandez, began to be pressured by Acosta a lap later. The race reached halfway with Márquez leading, who had a 1.5-second advantage over Fernandez. Ogura, Acosta, and Martín completed the top five, while Moreira was 11th.
Cal Crutchlow, with an LCR Honda, entered the points zone by overtaking Toprak Razgatlioglu on the 15th lap. Up front, Marc Márquez opened a two-second gap over Fernández, who began to be pressured by Ogura and Acosta. Moreira remained in 11th position at the end of the 20th lap of the race.
On the 22nd lap, Crutchlow crashed with the Honda at turn 3, leaving the race. Two laps later, Ogura tried to overtake Fernandez but saw the Trackhouse teammate hold on to second place. On the following lap, the Japanese rider managed the maneuver to take second place. Further back, Enea Bastianini passed Moreira and Binder, taking tenth place.
Moreira recovered 11th place by overtaking Jack Miller, while Ogura began to reduce, albeit timidly, the distance to Márquez, who went on to win the race.
