Jorge Martelli’s debut in TCR Brazil was marked by positive results. Competing for the first time in South America’s premier touring car category, the Brazilian multi-champion secured a victory during the round held in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso.

In Race 1, held on Saturday afternoon (20), Martelli started second in the Trophy category and completed the 15 laps in 29min11s885, securing the win and 11th place in the overall classification. In Race 2, held on Saturday, he finished in second place in the category.
The round represented a series of firsts for the driver: new car, new team, and a new championship. “It was a very special weekend. I arrived knowing there would be a lot to learn because everything was new to me. The Audi is a car extremely different from what I was used to driving, the category is very competitive, and each session served as a learning experience. Leaving here with a win and a second place in the category is a result that makes me very satisfied,” he highlighted.
The driver also emphasized the support received during the event. “Competing in Cuiabá made everything even more memorable. I received the affection of friends, partners, and family throughout the event. This energy makes a big difference when you are starting a new project. I want to thank Cobra Racing Team for the impeccable work and everyone who believed in this opportunity,” he added.

With more than two decades in national motorsport, Martelli is the 2017 Sprint Race Brazil champion and the 2024 and 2025 NASCAR Brazil Series Challenge champion. Now, he begins a new phase in his career seeking growth in TCR Brazil.
“The feeling is of a mission accomplished in this first round. Of course, we still have a lot to improve, but we showed that we have the potential to grow throughout the season. The goal now is to keep learning, gain mileage, and seek increasingly better results,” he concluded.
