Fastest in the group that started the session, Brando Badoer will start from second position with a Rodin Motorsport car, after clocking 1min24s612. From then on, due to specific regulations for this round, positions are alternated, with drivers from the faster group taking odd-numbered grid spots, and the rest starting from even-numbered positions.

Freddie Slater, with a Trident car, will start from third position in Sunday’s race, sharing the second row with Ugo Ugochukwu, championship leader and Campos Racing driver. Ernesto Rivera, Ugochukwu’s teammate, starts from fifth position, while Tuukka Taponen, from MP Motorsport, completes the group of the top six on the grid.

Alessandro Giusti will start from seventh position with MP Motorsport, while Bruno del Pino, from Van Amersfoort, starts in eighth. Pedro Clerot, with a Rodin car, was the fifth best in his group and will start in ninth, sharing the fifth row with Noah Stromsted, from Trident. Gerrard Xie, from DAMS, is 11th, while Hyiu Yamakoshi, from Van Amersfoort, closes the top-12 and starts at the front in the Sprint. Fernando Barrichello, from AIX Racing, will start from 30th position.

The session did not feature red flags, but there were some touches with the wall, such as what happened to Fionn McLaughlin in the final moments of the first group. The Irish Hitech driver hit the wall as he headed into the tunnel section and damaged his front wing. In the second group, Freddie Slater hit the wall at the same point with the Trident car, but continued driving.
