Driver defending Rodin Motorsport in Formula 3, Pedro Clerot had a good performance in the two qualifying sessions held at Madring, a circuit set up on the streets of Madrid, Spain, for the final stage of the 2026 season. In the first session held this Friday (11), the Brazilian finished second, while in the last grid definition of the year, the owner of car number 17 was the third fastest.

Clerot and the F3 drivers had already driven at Madring three weeks ago, when the category held tests on the circuit, which also hosts Formula 1 this weekend. After placing ninth in this morning’s free practice, the Brazilian recorded the second-best time, just 0.012 seconds off the pole time in the first qualifying. In the last grid definition of the day, the first champion in the history of F4 Brazil was third, even after a touch on the wall while chasing pole position.
“It’s the last stage of the championship and I felt very good during the practice. I think the result was not very realistic compared to the pace we had, but I’m very happy. We had two incredible qualifying sessions, I was one hundredth away from pole in the first, and just under a tenth in the second. I was on a very good lap in the second qualifying, but I lost the rear and crashed, but everything is fine, the car will be good for tomorrow,” said Pedro Clerot, who is sponsored by Banco BRB.
“I’m very happy to have a good weekend in qualifying. We always had this pace and now we showed it. I’m happy to achieve this on such a difficult track. This leveled the cars’ performance and we showed that we are here to fight. Now it’s about converting this result into points, podiums, and finishing the season well and fighting for wins,” continued the Rodin Motorsport driver.

“We will try to overtake. We always have to try and I think it’s possible to fight for the win tomorrow and Sunday. We will learn a lot in Saturday’s races, and we will bring these points home in the two main races. I’m confident and it’s all set to be a great weekend. With results like this, we show that we are always working,” Clerot concludes.
The first two Formula 3 races in Madrid will be held this Saturday, with the Sprint scheduled for 6:05 and the main race starting at 13:00. The final race of the championship takes place on Sunday with a start at 4:45. F1TV broadcasts all three races live.
