Driver defending AIX Racing in the 2026 Formula 2 season, Emmo Fittipaldi celebrated the qualifying result for the 11th round of the 2026 season, held at Madring, a street circuit set up in Madrid, Spain. The Brazilian was tenth in the session on Friday (11) that defined the starting positions and, with the grid inversion, will start from first place in the Sprint race this Saturday.

The tenth place represents the best performance of the driver, who is in his first year in the main feeder category to Formula 1, in the current season. Through the team’s social media, Emmo thanked the team for the car he had for qualifying and hopes to have a good race this Saturday, aiming for points to move up the championship standings, where he is 21st.
“I got tenth position in the main race, and that means I will start on pole for tomorrow’s race. I’m very excited and want to thank God and AIX for giving me an incredible car for today’s qualifying. We finally managed to get into the top ten. I hope to have a good race tomorrow,” said Emmo Fittipaldi, who has ten points accumulated this year.

After qualifying, Formula 2 will hold its two races in sequence. The Sprint is scheduled for 9:15 AM this Saturday (12), while the main race starts at 6:25 AM on Sunday.
