Formula 2 will soon hold, starting at 3:10 PM this Saturday (23), the Sprint race that opens the third round of the 2026 season. Tenth placed in the classification held last Friday, Gabriele Mini will start at the front at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, in Montreal, Canada, with an MP Motorsport car, after benefiting from the inversion of positions among the top ten in qualifying.

The front row will also feature Rafael Villagómez, Van Amersfoort driver and ninth best in qualifying. Noel León, from Campos Racing, starts third, with John Bennett in fourth with a Trident car. Joshua Durksen, a driver for Invicta Racing, completes the group of the top five on the grid for the shortest race of the weekend.
Among the Brazilians, Emmo Fittipaldi, from AIX Racing, will start from ninth position after moving up two places due to penalties against Rafael Câmara and Alexander Dunne. Both lost three grid places after blocking other competitors during qualifying. Câmara, from Invicta, would have started ninth, and now will start from 12th position.
