Formula 1 has released an update it considered positive, ahead of a decisive meeting with the teams and the FIA scheduled for April 09. Even in the face of criticism from several drivers, the category evaluates that the new rules are working and considers that the races have been more competitive.

After the first three stages of the season, Formula 1 officials indicated satisfaction with the current product. Fan surveys also pointed to a more positive perception of the contests compared to the same period last year, reinforcing confidence in the category’s new phase.
The first meeting between technical representatives of the teams is scheduled to take place later this week. Among the topics to be discussed are some adjustments, including the format of qualifying sessions, the use of energy on the formation lap, and possible safety concerns related to speed differences.
Two other meetings are planned over the next three weeks. The forced break in the calendar in April, due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian GPs because of the war in the Middle East, allowed Formula 1 to more calmly analyze the three races already held this year and contested under the new regulations and evaluate any changes.

There is the possibility of changes to the regulations, provided there is consensus between Formula 1, the FIA, and the teams. The meetings will include team principals, category officials, and FIA technical delegates, with the aim of identifying possible adjustments, although the current overall assessment is positive.
Even with F1 drivers not participating directly in the decisions, their opinions will be considered. The evaluations were passed on to the GPDA (Grand Prix Drivers’ Association), the entity that represents the drivers and which will take this feedback to the meetings.
