The 2026 NASCAR Brasil season begins this weekend, between April 10 and 12, at the Autódromo de Santa Cruz do Sul (RS), with the debut of SG28 Racing in the category. The team arrives with a female duo formed by Tatiana Calderón and Bruna Tomaselli.

The SG28 Racing project seeks to foster new talents in motorsport. “SG28 Racing was idealized with the mission of providing opportunities and support to new drivers, allowing them to have a continuous trajectory in their careers until professionalization. Tata and Bruna are excellent drivers and deserve the opportunity in a major category, which continues to grow and innovate every year,” stated CEO Carlos SG.
The team will have technical support from Pole Motorsport, responsible for the Ford Mustang models and track operations. “We always seek the best technical partners to take care of our cars, within the asset-light concept. Pole Motorsport will be responsible for the two cars and all track support for the girls. We are very confident that it will be an excellent season,” he added.

With experience in categories such as NTT IndyCars, Formula 2, and as a test driver in Formula 1, in addition to endurance races in IMSA, Tatiana Calderón highlighted the expectation to race in the country: “I am very happy to be able to compete in Brazil. It will be incredible to share the track with great drivers and partner with Bruna Tomaselli. This car will be a new experience for both of us, but I am convinced that we will work very well together, focused on improving every time we hit the track. I deeply believe in this project and its vision, and it is an honor to represent Latin America and women in such a competitive championship.”
Bruna Tomaselli, who has experience in categories such as Formula Junior Brazil, Formula Renault, South American Formula 4, US F2000, W Series, and Stock Light, emphasized the importance of the opportunity: “It will be a unique opportunity to be in a major category, with a very high level of competition and with big names in motorsport on the grid. I am very grateful to the team and, especially, to the people who make a difference and worked hard for this opportunity to happen.”
