Enzo Gianfratti closed the FIA TCR World Tour stage at the Vila Real Street Circuit in Portugal with a significant advance in the championship standings. The Brazilian gained five positions, moving from 17th to 12th place, even having competed in only four of the nine races held this season.

The results also earned the driver a spot in the Top 60 of the TCR world ranking, which brings together more than 450 competitors from the category’s championships around the world, considering a period of 30 weeks.
The stage also marked Gianfratti’s debut on a street circuit. On Saturday, he advanced to Q2 of qualifying. On Sunday, he finished race 1 in 10th position and race 2 in 11th place.
“I am satisfied to complete the two extremely difficult races, gain experience on a completely new circuit for me, and continue evolving at each stage against some of the best drivers in the world. I want to thank the team for all the work done during the weekend, the sponsors for their trust, and everyone who was cheering. Now it’s time to analyze everything we learned in Vila Real, keep working hard, and come back even more prepared for the next stage,” said the Castrol and Rodoil driver.

The Brazilian also highlighted the difficulties of the Portuguese track. “Of course, we always want to fight for even better results, but it was my first time competing on this track. The streets are extremely narrow, the margin for error is practically zero, and any small detail can compromise the entire weekend’s work. It is a circuit that demands absolute concentration from start to finish,” the driver says, revealing the almost non-existent overtaking points.
Enzo Gianfratti’s next commitment will be the TCR Brazil decision on July 26 at the Velocitta Circuit in Mogi-Guaçu (SP). Alongside Pedro Cardoso, the G Racing drivers will seek the national title and more points for the continuation of the TCR South America.
