The MotoGP grid for the 2027 season is very close to being finalized. After the announcement of Nicolo Bulega’s arrival, the current Superbike world champion, to VR46, three spots remain open for next year’s championship in the premier category of world motorcycling, which are with Honda, LCR, and Tech3.

It is striking that none of the 11 teams on the grid are expected to keep the pair competing in this year’s championship. The eight teams with confirmed pairs have changes in at least one of the riders, while Honda, with Fabio Quartararo, and Tech3, with Luca Marini, also already have changes.
The only team that can still keep the current pair is LCR, which already has Johann Zarco confirmed, but does not know the fate of Diogo Moreira. The Brazilian, however, is tipped to be Quartararo’s teammate on Honda’s official team next year.
Also noteworthy is the arrival of riders who are competing in Moto2 this year. Daniel Holgado is confirmed in MotoGP through Gresini, while Izán Guevara will defend Pramac in 2027. Additionally, David Alonso has a contract with Honda for next year and is competing for the spot on the official team with Moreira.
