Hyundai MSA has confirmed Camilo Trappa as its second official driver for the brand-new Hyundai Elantra N TCRs that arrived in South America in recent days. With this addition, the structure, which is based in the southern zone of Buenos Aires, has already secured the second seat, as Diego Ciantini had been confirmed at the team’s presentation at the end of December in Interlagos.

Trappa is a young promise of Argentine motorsport who has bet on touring cars. Born and living in Los Polvorines, Buenos Aires province, he has competed in karting since the age of 14 until making the jump to touring cars. His time in the feeder categories earned him the Iame Senior 125 title in 2023 and the runner-up spot in the Rotax Buenos Aires Senior in 2024. He also participated in the FIA Motorsport Games and competed in Europe and the United States.
Last season he made his debut in Turismo Carretera 2000, where he achieved good results, reaching his first victory at the Autódromo de Toay, La Pampa, with a Renault Fluence.

2026 will be his debut year at an international level in professional motorsport with his arrival at TCR South America. Trappa will be at the wheel of a latest-generation Hyundai Elantra N TCR (the same ones that compete in the FIA TCR World Tour), which will be under the direction of Damián Fineschi, director of Hyundai MSA.
His first time on track as an official Hyundai driver will be at the Autódromo de Concordia on Monday, February 23, during the TCR South America Banco BRB pre-season tests.
