The 2026 Formula 2 season reaches its halfway point this weekend with the seventh round of the championship, scheduled for the Silverstone circuit in England. And Brazilian Rafael Câmara, third in the standings, heads into the double round eyeing the championship leaders and looking to close the gap to his rivals.

Holder of one win this season, achieved in Barcelona, along with three podiums and two pole positions, Câmara has 82 points, 26 behind the championship leader. For the visit to Silverstone this weekend, the driver hopes to show the progress he has made throughout the year and aims for a better performance compared to last year, when he competed in Formula 3.
“Silverstone is a track I drove for the first time last year. It was a weekend with rain, so it was quite eventful. In England, this is always a factor that can bring excitement to the race, and certainly, my team and I are working to achieve a good result this weekend,” said Rafael Câmara, referring to last year’s Formula 3 round.

The Formula 2 schedule in England will start on Friday, with the only free practice session of the weekend and the qualifying session that will determine the starting positions for the two races. The Sprint race is scheduled for Saturday, starting at 9:45 AM, while Sunday features the main race at 7:15 AM. Sportv, GloboPlay, and F1TV will broadcast the race live.
