Driver Nelson Marcondes will compete, between April 8 and 11, in the opening round of the 2026 Porsche Sports Cup Suisse season, at the Algarve International Circuit, in Portugal.

After seven seasons in the Porsche Cup Brazil, Marcondes begins a new chapter in his career by competing in Europe in 2026. The driver will be part of the Italian team GDL Racing and will share, in this round, the command of a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 992 with fellow driver Nelson Monteiro.
The participation in Portimão is part of the preparation for the 2026 GT Cup Europe season, with a primary focus on adapting to the car, the team, and the technical regulations of European competitions.

“This weekend will be fundamental for adaptation, both to the car and the team. Unlike the Porsche Cup Brazil, where adjustments are more limited, here we have more freedom regarding the setup. It will be a very valuable period to work with the team in this process, already focusing on the 2026 GT Cup Europe season. The expectation is to make the most of the car, also thinking about our debut, which will take place here in Portimão,” said Marcondes.
The weekend schedule includes two 30-minute races and a two-hour endurance race.
