Chosen as the breakout driver in last season’s NASCAR Brazil, Tito Giaffone competed in the first practice sessions for this weekend’s stage at the Circuito dos Cristais in Curvelo (MG), and evaluated the challenges teams face to get a good setup for this, the only oval track in the championship.

“It was a different Friday, since it is an oval track and the setup changes a lot, so we are studying to try to find the best balance for the car because the two turns are very different,” says Tito, who drives car 15 for the Giaffone Mission Zero/Full Time Sports team.
Tito was fourth in the extra practice and then finished his group in eighth place in the first free practice.
“We are analyzing where we can improve for tomorrow, but I think, in general, we are a bit lacking in turns 3 and 4, but that is a matter of confidence that the driver gains with time on the track. We usually save taking more risks for qualifying, but it was a Friday where we made a lot of progress and I think tomorrow we will be better,” concludes Tito.
The Curvelo stage of NASCAR Brazil continues this Saturday with the second practice session at 10:10 AM and on the same day the qualifying takes place, scheduled for 3:15 PM. Race 1 is held at 9 AM and race 2 is scheduled for 2:10 PM. SBT, ESPN, Disney+ and YouTube broadcast the stage.
