Raphael Reis started the 2026 TCR South America and TCR Brazil season with a good performance. The W2 Pro GP team driver secured third position in the qualifying held this Saturday (7) in Curvelo (MG), finishing just a tenth off pole position after clocking 1:22.970 in Q2.

Before that, the driver of the #77 Cupra had already stood out in Q1, when he led the session with a time of 1:23.053. A pioneer of the category, Reis begins the championship in search of his first title, after finishing the last three seasons among the top five.
Race 1 will be contested with the grid defined by qualifying and distributes more points in the championship. In Race 2, there will be a grid inversion, which will see Raphael start from eighth position.

“I am very happy to start in third. It is always good to start the championship at the front. Now it’s time to think about a good strategy for the two races, as it is very important to score points in both. I am confident in this fight for the victory and I hope to start the season on the right foot,” said Reis.
Both races will be broadcast on BandSports and its digital platforms, as well as TV Gazeta. Race 1 takes place at 9h00, while Race 2 is scheduled for 13h05.
