Formula 2 visits a new venue in its history this weekend: the Madring, a circuit located on the streets of Madrid, Spain, which hosts the 11th round of the 2026 season. Championship runner-up Rafael Câmara heads into the contest eyeing the lead, having reduced the gap to the championship leader to 11 points in the last round, held in Italy.

Record holder for pole positions this season, with five in ten rounds, Câmara comes off a second place obtained last Sunday at the Monza National Autodrome. With this result, the Brazilian from Invicta Racing heads to the Spanish capital with real chances to take the championship lead, as each round offers 39 points.
The driver, who is part of the Ferrari Driver Academy, reveals that he aims to keep focused on his own work, and that he has had consistent performance in the last five rounds.

“I am focused on myself and we need to maintain this pace. I think that in the last five rounds, we have always been in the fight and have always been consistent. We just need to keep doing our job. Surely the battle is open and we will keep pushing until the end, we will never give up,” said Rafael Câmara.
The F2 schedule at Madring will open on Friday, when the only free practice of the weekend and the qualifying session that will determine the starting positions for the races will be held. The Sprint is scheduled for 9:15 AM on Saturday, while the main race starts at 6:25 AM on Sunday. Sportv, Globoplay, and F1TV will broadcast the round.
