TCR South America has confirmed another step in its strategy to strengthen its presence at the continent’s main circuits. For the first time in its history, the category will compete in a round at the Rosamonte Autodrome, in Posadas, in the province of Misiones, Argentina. The eighth round of the 2026 season is scheduled for the weekend of October 3rd and 4th.

The arrival of the competition at the Misiones circuit reinforces the championship’s proposal to expand its presence at racetracks considered iconic and strategic in South America. With this, TCR South America Banco BRB reaffirms its intention to visit the best circuits in Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay.
Considered one of the most technical and challenging tracks on the calendar, the Rosamonte Autodrome demands a high level of performance from drivers and teams. The layout features fast corners, winding sections, and constant changes of pace, characteristics that increase the complexity of the battles.
Among the most well-known points of the circuit is the “Carousel,” a fast counterflow corner located on a slope. In this section, cars need to be perfectly balanced to maintain the ideal trajectory.

Located on the outskirts of the city of Posadas, the autodrome was founded in 1980 and gained even more relevance after a major renovation carried out in 2007, becoming the main circuit of the province of Misiones. The track’s name refers to the yerba mate company “Rosamonte,” the main producer of the beverage in the region.
The main layout is 4,370 meters long and stands out for its adaptation to the local terrain, with ups and downs that increase the level of difficulty for the competitors.
In addition to the debut in Posadas, the category’s return to the province strengthens the relationship between TCR South America and Misiones. The round held in Oberá, valid for the second round of the 2025 season, demonstrated the strong identification of the local audience with the championship, consolidating the province as one of the most popular destinations among the category’s fans.
