Pipo and Felipe Massa finished the qualifying for the Porsche Cup Endurance in Portugal with the feeling that they could do more. After Saturday’s session (11) in Algarve, the duo regretted that not everything went as expected.

For the time trial for the endurance racing championship, both drivers go to the track to do their laps. Then, an average is made and the positions on the starting grid are defined.
Father and son, sharing the cockpit for the first time, managed 15th overall for the race in Portimão, starting from second place in the Rookie class and staying 0.8 seconds behind the leaders Marçal Müller and Gaetano di Mauro.
“The qualifying was not the way we wanted, but I am sure that in the race we will go all out to get the victory,” said Pipo.

“I think I am not very happy with the performance, no, I couldn’t get the lap right and it’s a shame because I think it should have been a little better. But in the end, the race is long, the important thing is that we try to start in a good position among everyone and we will see what happens in the next qualifying and understand what position we will start from,” said Felipe.
“Pipo did a good job, he also didn’t nail his lap, he made a small mistake, so in the end he made a small mistake, I made a small mistake and logically these small mistakes end up impacting the final result. But we will prepare for tomorrow,” he concluded.
