Pedro Cardoso has signed with G Racing for the 2026 TCR South America season. The debut with the new team takes place this weekend, between March 6 and 8, at the championship’s opening round in Curvelo, Minas Gerais. The change also includes a new car: the driver will now compete with the Cupra.

“This year we are going to change teams and cars, mainly, which makes me very excited. G Racing is a new team, and in a short time in the championship they have already had good results and shown good performances. In addition, the Cupra was elected the best car of 2025 in the TCR universe, it is a car that I know will be competitive,” said Pedro.
“I am extremely excited and anxious to start [the season], especially because the start of the championship will be in Brazil. With the first five rounds here, we have to take advantage to score as many points as possible in search of the second title,” he concluded.

Team principal Daniel Gianfratti highlighted the arrival of the driver, champion of TCR Brazil and TCR South America in 2024: “We are very happy with the arrival of Pedro Cardoso at G Racing. It will be a great challenge for us; he is a very experienced driver, champion of the category, a reinforcement for the team that will certainly add a lot during the season. We hope to match this with a lot of work and effort from the whole team to deliver maximum performance,” said Daniel.
The Curvelo round also marks a novelty for the category, which will now be broadcast on free-to-air TV by TV Gazeta.
