Daniel Neumann secured the victory in race 1 of the Porsche Cup Sprint Challenge at Velocitta. On the hot afternoon of this Saturday (28) in Mogi Guaçu, he took the lead at the start and never left it, climbing to the top step of the podium.

Finishing in second place was Enrico Pedrosa, who started from pole on his debut and maintained a good pace during the race. Wil Cesar, Gerson Campos, and Caio Castro, after starting last, complete the podium.
Race 2 of the second stage of the Sprint Challenge at Velocitta takes place on Sunday, 29, with the start scheduled for 13h59 Brasília time.

For the first of the two Sprint Challenge races in Mogi Guaçu, Enrico Pedrosa lined up on pole position. Interestingly, the competitor is making his championship debut this weekend, starting off on the right foot.
Lights out and start cleared in the interior of São Paulo. Pedrosa and Daniel Neumann went side-by-side, with the latter getting the better of it and taking the lead of the pack. Behind, Gabriel Gurpel and Nicholas Garfinkel tangled and spun.
Although both quickly returned to the contest, the safety car ended up being deployed.
Race restarted at Velocitta and Neumann managed to maintain first place, while Will Cesar managed to pounce on Enrico and took second place with an inside pass.
The order at the start of the race was Daniel in first with almost a 1s gap from the pack, with Cesar, Pedrosa, Gerson Campos, and Cecília Rabelo completing the temporary podium.

Then, with just over 13 minutes to the checkered flag, Emilio Moreira ended up stopped at turn 5. The competitor managed to return on his own, but the safety car was necessary.
At this moment, Neumann led the overall pack, with Pedrosa, in second place, leading in the Sport class. Further back, Cláudio Simão was the leader in the Rookie class.
Caio Castro was having a remarkable race. After leading TL1 on Friday and not participating in qualifying, he started last but managed to climb through the pack and was already in ninth.
On the restart with just over eight minutes to go, Caio managed to make a jump and was overtaking Cecilia to take sixth place, already knocking on the door of the podium.
Near the end of race 1 of the Porsche Cup Sprint Challenge, Neumann was still first, leading the rookie Pedrosa, with Will Cesar, Gerson Campos, and Castro completing the top-5.
Meanwhile, a premature end to the race for Sadak Leite. Just before the checkered flag, he had to go to the pits and retire due to an as-yet-unspecified engine problem.
Race finished and Neumann secures the victory in a dominant manner. Rookie Pedrosa, Will Cesar, Gerson Campos, and Caio, after starting last, complete the podium.
