MotoGP had another intense race in Brazil, and Marc Márquez came close to the podium after a direct duel until the final laps in Goiânia. Francesco Bagnaia, meanwhile, saw his chances end with a crash in the middle of the race.

The result reflects a competitive weekend, but still with limitations for the Ducati Lenovo Team. While Márquez showed consistency, Bagnaia again faced difficulties that prevented a more solid performance in the race.
In the race held over 23 laps at the Ayrton Senna International Racetrack, the Spaniard had a good start and remained among the top positions in the opening laps. However, he lost second place on the sixth lap after an overtake by Fabio Di Giannantonio, dropping to fourth.
From there, Márquez entered a direct dispute for the last podium spot, trying to make up ground until the checkered flag. Despite constant pressure, he couldn’t get close enough to make an overtake and finished the race in fourth position.
“From the start I noticed that the feeling wasn’t the same as yesterday. I had more difficulties, so I tried to stay calm and not push too hard to preserve the tires,” explained the Spanish rider. “When I got behind Jorge and Di Giannantonio, I couldn’t get close enough. Still, we’re not far from the leaders.”
On the other side of the garage, Bagnaia had a more complicated race from the start. The Italian lost three positions at the beginning, but managed to recover and climb to 11th in the following laps, trying to rebuild his race.

However, on the 11th lap, the rider crashed at turn 1 after reporting constant difficulties with the bike’s behavior. The retirement further compromised his season start.
“I didn’t have the right feeling during the race and couldn’t attack. I was always at the limit, until I ended up crashing,” he said. “We know the bike’s potential is greater, but we’re still trying to get back on pace.”
With the result, Márquez occupies fifth position in the championship with 34 points, while Bagnaia appears only in 13th, with a considerable gap to his teammate. The Ducati Lenovo Team is fifth among teams, while Ducati holds second place among manufacturers.
Now, MotoGP heads to the United States, with the next round scheduled for the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, between March 27-29. The Italian team seeks to improve to return to direct competition for the top positions.
