Raúl Fernández won this Sunday (9) the British GP, the 12th round of the 2026 MotoGP season. The Aprilia Trackhouse rider started from second position, took the lead in the early meters by overtaking pole position Jorge Martín, and led the 20 laps of the race held at the Silverstone circuit to win.

Second place went to Martín, the Aprilia rider who tried to close the gap to Fernández, without success. Marco Bezzecchi, Martín’s teammate, completed the podium in third place after holding off attacks from Álex Márquez, fourth with the Gresini Ducati. The top five group also included Pedro Acosta, from KTM.
Fabio Di Giannantonio finished the race in sixth with a VR46 Ducati, followed by Marc Márquez, seventh with an official team Ducati. Brad Binder, from KTM, was eighth, with Luca Marini, Honda rider, in ninth. Diogo Moreira, with an LCR Honda, closed the top 10 after overtaking Franco Morbidelli on the last lap.
The MotoGP will continue between August 28 and 30, with the Aragón GP in Spain.

The race started with Raúl Fernández taking the lead right in the early meters, followed by Marco Bezzecchi and Marc Márquez. Pole position Jorge Martín dropped to fourth, followed by Ai Ogura. Diogo Moreira fell to 17th, while Alex Rins and Joan Mir crashed on the opening lap of the Silverstone race.
Still on the first lap, Álex Márquez passed Ogura, entering the top 5, but the Japanese rider retaliated against the Gresini Spaniard shortly after, returning to fifth place. Álex was also overtaken by Pedro Acosta, dropping to seventh. Martín, meanwhile, regained third place after passing Marc Márquez on the second lap.
Ogura, struggling, was overtaken by Acosta and Álex Márquez, falling to seventh place. Up front, Fernández opened a 1.8-second gap over Bezzecchi, the second-placed rider. Further back, Moreira was in 16th place, close to Enea Bastianini and Iker Lecuona. On the fourth lap, Álex Márquez passed Acosta and moved up to fifth.
With five laps completed, Fernández extended his lead to three seconds over Bezzecchi. Bastianini crashed at turn 17 of the English circuit, allowing Moreira to enter the points zone in 15th place. On the sixth lap, Lecuona crashed at turn 12, allowing the Brazilian to gain another position.

Marc Márquez lost pace and was overtaken by Álex Márquez and Pedro Acosta, dropping to sixth. On the seventh lap, Cal Crutchlow crashed at turn 6. One lap later, Francesco Bagnaia crashed at turn 7 of the Silverstone circuit, becoming another rider to retire from the British GP.
On the ninth lap, Martín passed Bezzecchi and took second place, appearing 4.7 seconds behind Fernández, the race leader. The Italian Aprilia rider soon came under pressure from Álex Márquez, who overtook him on the same lap. At the start of the tenth lap, Ai Ogura crashed, retiring from the race.
Acosta overtook Álex Márquez again, taking fourth place on the tenth lap after the Gresini rider made a mistake in the first corner. At the front, Fernández remained in the lead but saw Martín start to reduce the gap, albeit timidly, bringing it down to 4.1 seconds on lap 12.
Álex Márquez overtook Acosta again on lap 12, returning to fourth place and opening a gap over his rival. Further back, Moreira passed Jack Miller, taking 12th place. Up front, Martín sought to reduce the distance to Fernández, but the race leader increased the pace and prevented any attempt to close in.
With five laps remaining, Moreira passed Fabio Quartararo and took 11th place. Martín, in turn, again reduced the gap to Fernández, bringing the distance to 3.3 seconds during lap 16. Álex Márquez launched an attack on Bezzecchi with four laps to go.
Fabio Di Giannantonio passed Marc Márquez on lap 18, taking sixth place. In the midfield pack, Luca Marini passed Franco Morbidelli to take ninth place. Even seeing Martín reduce the gap, Fernández went on to win in England, followed by Martín and Bezzecchi. There was still time for Moreira to overtake Morbidelli to finish tenth.
